Group animation in the park on a cold week in February. Time lapse with paints. A surreal juxtaposition of imagery in an experimental style to reflect the experimental soundtrack.

This was a really fun project to work on.

It’s finally out, the long awaited release of the project I worked on at Second Home Studios! Enjoy

There is also a making of here:

Shorts on Walls

A short, animated film about footballer George Best, Best will be shown at Shorts on Walls this month along with the animated comedy All Consuming Love (Man in a Cat). Both shorts were funded as part of the DigiShorts scheme through Screen West Midlands. Both directors, Steven Spencer (Best) and Louis Hudson (Man in a Cat) will be around after to talk about their films after the screening.

I was involved with both films (at least in part), animating lots of sequences on Best and painting frames for a few scenes in Man in a Cat. So please get yourselves down there on the 24th for this wonderfully free screening.

I’m looking forward to blogging about my most recent animation work on Best a short film about footballer George Best but there is precious little I can show you till the first screening. Fortunately, that should be coming up soon so I’ll keep you posted. I’ll be putting together a new showreel too, but that also has to wait. In the meantime here are some doodles inspired by a recent failed interview…
